Estimating your delivery cost

You can find out how much delivery will cost for any item by using the delivery estimate tool. Delivery charge is per case, or part thereof.

Delivery costs

To bring you the most cost-effective delivery solutions, Taphouse Cellars quotes delivery charges based on a least-cost routing method, from a range of delivery providers.

All delivery costs are calculated based on the items you have added to your shopping cart, in relation to a delivery postcode.

To view the cost associated with the items in your basket, simply select your postcode in the shopping cart.

Any charges related to your order will be displayed below the list of items that you have already added to your cart.

Delivery timeframes

The Taphouse Cellars website guarantees that all orders placed by 11am Monday-Friday will be dispatched same day. All orders after this time will be dispatched on the next business day.

Once dispatched to our 3rd party carrier, we usually expect delivery within 3-5 business days, however, this may be longer for some regional areas.

What makes up a case?

  • Up to a dozen bottles of any wine, spirit or non-alcoholic product. Each bottle within the dozen may be up to a maximum of 1.25 litres

  • Any single case of beer, cider or pre-mixed drinks (cases may include 10, 12, 15, 18, 20, 24 or 30 containers)

  • Any four-packs of beer, cider and pre-mixed spirits. A pack is defined as 1 x 6-pack, 1 x 4-pack or 1 x 3-pack of beer cider or pre-mixed bottles less than 500ml.

  • Any combinations of 12 individual bottles of beer or cider less than 500ml.

Free Delivery

If you spend more than $150, either online or over the phone, your order will be delivered free of charge within metro areas via standard delivery.

Please note, this offer excludes beer and pre-mixed beverages.

Free delivery will also be available on certain products that display a ‘Free Delivery’ sticker or badge. For any orders where you have a combination of free and non-free delivery items, normal delivery charges apply to those products that do not indicate free delivery.

Free delivery only applies to orders going to a single delivery address located in metro areas.

If your order has qualified for free delivery, please note that in some circumstances, the delivery charge may not be fully removed until you reach the payment page in the checkout.

Click & Collect

Click & Collect is available at all Taphouse Cellars stores. Simply shop online for you favourite products and when you view your cart choose your preferred Taphouse Cellars store.

Once you have finalised your order, our friendly staff in store will prepare your order ready for pick-up. All Click & Collect orders made between 10am and 5pm will be ready 2 hours from when your order was placed.

Orders placed outside these hours will be ready by 10am the next trading day.

Tracking 

Taphouse Cellars provides customers with full visibility of consignment tracking events.

You can track the status of your delivery using the information that we send you with your order confirmation. You will receive a link that takes you through to our freight management provider, SmartFreight.

Unattended Deliveries

If you choose our delivery option during checkout, you can request that your delivery is left in a specific location at your property if no-one is at home.

If you would like us to leave the package unattended, please ensure you tick the box authorizing the driver to do so, in addition to providing extra instructions.

Please note, our carriers reserve the right to leave a card asking that you collect your order from a relative collection point, even if you have instructed them to leave the parcel on location. They will do this if:

  • The instruction authorizing them to leave the parcel in unclear

  • The place they have been asked to leave the parcel is unsafe

  • Somebody is home but they cannot provide proof of age

  • The delivery person is concerned that minors may be present within the vicinity of your premises

Unattended delivery is not valid for:

  • Premises that do not receive daily road letter delivery from Australia Post

Delivery to multiple addresses

The Taphouse Cellars site requires that you individually checkout for each time that an order needs to go to a different address.

You can easily update the delivery address that the order needs to be sent to during the checkout process.

Delivery Exclusions

By law, some of our products may not be not be made available for delivery to certain postcodes. Please refer to the Delivery Locations section above to more information.

Products that exceed 70%ABV are also prohibited by law from being posted.

We may limit the number of products purchased, as per our retail stock holding capabilities.

Identification

Taphouse Cellars and the Taphouse Group support the responsible service of alcohol. It is against the law to sell or supply alcohol to, or to obtain alcohol on behalf of, a person under the age of 18 years.

You MUST be over 18 to place an order online or over the phone, or to receive a delivery.
